Sutton Excavations – Eco Clearing

Over the past month, Sutton Excavations – Eco Clearing, have been awarded the major clearing and grubbing subcontract for the Banora Point Upgrade Alliance. The works include approx. 17 hectares of clearing and grubbing within an urban environment surrounded by a number of endangered ecological communities.

To date preliminary works have involved clearing within and adjacent to an existing water course beneath 66kV power lines within a worksite adjacent live traffic. The clearing crew’s performance to date has been commendable; their innovative hydraulic clearing attachments have proven themselves a valuable asset given the noise sensitive environment. The previous experience and qualified clearing crew working around live power is another great asset and enabled uninterrupted clearing within live power corridors with approved spotters a part of the crew.

I have no concerns recommending them as a reputable clearing subcontractor as I’m confident the remaining works will be undertaken with a continued commitment to working together with the head contractor’s strict environmental and safety requirements.
